When it comes to taking Aligned Action, do you find yourself trapped in a cycle of overthinking? Instead of taking Aligned Action, you find yourself stuck in analysis paralysis.
Aligned Action is not just action but is intentional action, deeply reflecting your values, your purpose and your desired outcomes.
But if you aren’t ready to take intentionally Aligned Action, is taking any action more powerful than staying stuck in overthinking?
It depends.
If you feel like a hamster running endlessly on a wheel, spending a lot of mental, emotional, and intellectual bandwidth doing ALL THE THINGS, then taking time to reflect on your goals might be appropriate. But if you are stuck in thinking mode and in perpetual inaction, taking action whether it is aligned or not might be your best way to achieving Aligned Action.
When you’re stuck in your head, everything seems uncertain. Being stuck in your head, allows Your St*ck, your limiting beliefs, to boil and fester. As the “what if’s” pile up, so does the stuck energy in your nervous system. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy. Your St*ck creates stuck energy which creates more limiting beliefs and worst case scenarios. That’s how you become trapped in an analysis paralysis loop.
So how do you Free Your St*ck to take Aligned Action!?
Take action, any action! Small steps, whether fully intentional or not, builds momentum. Action builds confidence. Each time you take action towards your goal, no matter how small, it helps to prove to yourself you are capable. Momentum increases as you feel empowered to take bigger and bolder steps forward.
Action creates clarity. Sometimes action, any action, helps to bring you into coherence with Aligned Action as you build clarity on tasks you want to complete. Action eliminates doubt as you gain clarity and even feedback on tasks you’ve completed.
Action also eliminates fear. Fear thrives if you’re stuck in inaction. The longer you sit in your head and allow Your St*ck to fester, the stronger your fear and Your St*ck become. Ticking items off your to-do list, again, builds confidence in your ability to get things done. It proves you are more than capable of completing a task, dispelling your fear.
Action yields results. If humans had the ability to think our way to success, we’d all be millionaires! Results come from showing up, putting in the work, creating daily or weekly habits, routines and rituals to getting tasks completed.

- Identify the Next Best (Small) Step Stop overwhelming yourself with the entire plan. Instead, ask yourself: What is one small step I can take today toward my goal? Then do it.
- Detach from Perfection Perfectionism is Your St*ck disguised as productivity. Recognize that imperfect action beats perfect inaction every time.
- Set Up Systems Systems make actions repeatable, becoming automatic, sometimes without even needing you to intervene once set up.
- Commit to Daily Action Taking small daily actions, even when you don’t feel like it, compounds over time. Progress is built through consistency, not perfection.
- Celebrate Progress, Not Results Instead of focusing solely on the end result, celebrate the fact that you took action. This reinforces positive behavior and keeps you motivated.
